Looks like a neat place to visit; however, it was unfortunately closed on the day we went. Apparently part-time and ran by retired Saint John police officers when open (typically when cruise ships are in port). That’s understandable and we plan to stop by on our next visit to SJ

Not a great deal to do in St John really but this quirky little Police Museum has some interesting artefacts and stories to review. Very friendly staff and all it asks for is a donation. Worth popping in for sure.

This was a cool place to visit. We found it by accident when our cruise ship docked here and we were just walking the streets. The older gentleman outside in the old police uniform was generous to allow us to take pictures. The Volkswagen outside is also cool

Excellent collection of local law enforcement history. Guides are retired Saint John Police, so you get a personal and informative look at the history from those that actually were in the police service. Well worth a visit.

Please stop here they are wonderful people and a nice short stop. They are all volunteers and are passionate about their history. You can even get a picture behind bars! They only take donations and ask that you sign their guest book. Very easy to find when getting off cruise ship.

This is an excellent place visit to see how this police force has changed over the years with many displays and even an old cell door. There is even a restored Volkswagen Bug that was used as an actual police car and was displayed by Volkswagen in a brochure for the bug.

Small place, but packed with great history of the St John's police including chalk full of anything police or prison related artifacts including old switchboard.
Staff are very friendly. Donations offered for admission.

We went by and decided to go in. My husband is a retired policeman and they discussed different things with him and also gave him a Saint John police badge.

We visited the museum on Canada Day weekend. We knew the location was open because the VW was on the street!
It is a small gem, with a powerful AC system (much needed during the heatwave). Lots of well laid out exhibits. It was fun to see all the banned weapons!
The volunteers were knowledgeable. Museum entry is by donation, and you have to go down a set of stairs to enter.

Free. Convenient. Fun for a few minutes and a few pictures. Everyone exceedingly friendly. Worth a quick stop.

Apparently only when there is a big Cruise Ship in Town... according to the visitor centre (across the street). Disappointing.
