Good evening. First things first. I am sorry for some of the point blank language.
Every so often I think of saying to my wife, ‘let’s go down town and see what is happening’. It’s been 10 years.
Well after being subjected to the so called downtown experience this afternoon, I would rather cut off my left testicle before I will think of going back into town.
My wife has a broken ankle and is getting her hair done so I am a number one driver. I go downstairs to the Tapa bar to have a beer while waiting.
The young lady spoke to me when I ordered a beer and when she gave me the bill. The place was 35% full.
I have had more interaction at a funeral.
5 DIVAS all talking to each other and not doing their jobs.
When did it become so hard for people to understand that if you want return clientele, associate with them. You don’t have to know their life story, just be sociable.
I went to go to a specialty store and they are open 11-4 and 7:30-9:30. It is 4:55. Really. If I had that much time for dinner I would forget how to unlock the door.
The only thing that I can say that was good about my latest downtown experience is that the beer was 30% cheaper than in the Bowling Alley in Langford.
Add to that $5.50 for 2 hours of parking. What idiot would open a shop in downtown Victoria?

It was quite narrow with only a few shops. Thought it would be longer and more interesting shops or decor. The amount of time it took to walk there, wasn’t worth it.

I'm not sure why this location would have its own listing on TA. It's a small pedestrian passthrough with some shops and restaurants. It wasn't anything spectacular.

Lovely are , beautifully maintained, with lots of Shops & Restaurants.
Many are expensive & high end shops, along with them other ordinary shops too can be found here.
Nice to stroll about, just to see a new place.

Some of the shops are very expensive but most are reasonable. Definitely worth the stroll through. Some interesting restaurants as well.

I happened on to this little alley after visiting Sitka in Government Street. There are great shops, galleries and restaurants such as Tapas. I love these off the beaten path places away from the hustle and bustle. Look for it on your own or ask locals....they’ll be happy to direct you!

Cute little alley w/ Lots of indie shops & eateries. The Tapa Bar is a great find in itself .. check out jewellery stores & other local businesses

It is like going back in history, so quaint and lovely shops and restaurants, highly recomment to take a stroll through.

This attractive location is bordered by Yates Street, Government Street, View Street and Broad Street. It lies almost half way between Chinatown and Inner Harbor. There's a decidedly European flavor here (French is a safe guess) and, because it is a pedestrian walkway, the absence of traffic noises is peacefully refreshing.
