ベイエリアの南側のOgdenからビーコンヒルパークの東のクローバーポイント辺りまでのことだと思います。ウォーキングトレイルの途中には何故か新渡戸稲造の句碑があったりしました。盛岡市とビクトリア市が姉妹都市なのが何か関係があるのだと思いますがわかりませんでした。

ビーコンヒルパークから海岸沿いの道を歩いていきました。かなり歩きます。
でもこちらの景色を見ると疲れなんて吹き飛びました。私が行った時間は１５時ほどでしたが、ここで夕日が見れたら最高なんだろうと思いました。そこだけは少し悔しさも残りましたが、最高の景色でした。また海岸の道から、下の岩肌へ降りることができます。足元は滑りやすくなっているため注意が必要ですね。
近くの丘には車を止める場所もありました。また凧揚げをして楽しいでいる人もおりゆったりした時間を過ごすことができます。

This isn't anything YOU got see anymore then the rest of the Beautiful beach areas all over Dallas road or Cattle point.. Must have good shoes and in good shaape to be climbing around these areas.

ビクトリア最後の夜、ダウンタウンで夕食を済ませ、オークベイのホテルまで帰る時に、ホストファミリーがこの道を通ってホテルまで送ってくれました。
海の向こうに見える山々はアメリカ・・・山頂には雪が残って美しい景色でした。
穏やかな波を眺めながら素敵な景色を満喫・・・ここはカナディアンのデートスポットなのか、カップルがあちこちに・・・
日本に帰りたくなくなるような素晴らしい景色でした。

This is a nice area for a casual stroll along the waterfront to take in the sites & sounds. This past weekend it was a little on the cool side, however it was well worth the effort to come & enjoy! Pet friendly while the paved pathway has an easy grade to walk down to the beach front from the 600 block of Dallas Drive.

Steve Fonyo is a complex personality and this section of the Dallas Walking Path is often overlooked as well. As you travel east from Ogden Point the route forks, take the right downward slope on wide paving and at the bottom there will be a wide section of man-made and natural shoreline. This is where Fonyo dipped his foot to complete the Terry Fox attempt at a cross Canada run. Later Fonyo chose this location to be married.
Even on a windy day this is a sheltered areas, you'll find a spot on the rocky beach to sunbath or choose a bench to read or snack. Most days you'll be alone, no traffic sounds, just you and the vista of Juan De Fuca Strait.
