The boat trip to Yelapa was certainly a long one. The boat crew provided good entertainment and decent food. Lunch at the beach was good enough for a hambre guy. The trip back to Puerto Vallarta was even more fun, as the boat crew ramped up the entertainment.

We were visiting for the day on a cruise ship and boy was it fantastic! From the moment we stepped on the Catamaran we were in for an adventure! It was a day of amazing sights and FUN!! The crew was very attentive. Yelapa is beautiful! We snorkeled, climb to the waterfalls and enjoyed the beach. Thank you for a memorable time!

En Yelapa no hay mucho que ver, la cascada está bonita para tomarse fotos y recomiendo ampliamente comprar de los pays que venden en la subida.
Mahauitas es hermosa, el agua cristalina y la playa privada, excelente para hacer kayak, banana o paddle board

Classic tourist trap. Locals bet on fleecing the gringos which worked well pre-COVID. Now there are very few tourists, in part because there is zero emphasis on COVID safety, and the economy is hurting. Many closed and desperate seeming businesses. It is a visually interesting place, but even in the middle of the tourist drought you are more likely to see other tourists than a Mexican. Why leave home?

Treated as if I was a celebrity and not a rude gringo and because I visited 50 years ago. Takes a couple of days to get acclimated to Mexican culture if your from the USA. The horse ride thru a two person path thru the town was the highlight.

both of these are very natural and a treat to visit...only by boat of course! the water was a bit chilly but its clarity more than made up for it

Dive charter with Vallarta Adventures was supposed to be at Los Anegados but it was too rough and we ended up just off Yelapa Beach. We saw a few rays, a couple of which were buried in the sand with only their eyes showing, and usual reef fish such as sergeant majors, angel fish and snapper. Visibility was 12 to 15 feet and dark, especially at 90 feet. Some cold currents from time to time. Glad I had a 5 mm wetsuit.

Para mi vale la pena ir ya que vez mas naturaleza y muy cerca de vallarta. Hay varios tours yo con Valllarta Tours es garantia

Yelapa is a city only accessible by boat and the beach is small like the village. I did get caught in a cross current where the river reaches the ocean but the water only came up to my thigh.

Yelapa is a by boat only beach, take a water taxi from Boca de Tomatlan. Mahauitas is the so called private beach of the Vallarta Adventures tour company. Several boats, including pirate ship anchor there daily.
