Living in New Mexico, I am familiar with chilies but have never known how to make moles or homemade tortillas. Delicious and fun way to spend a day. Did I mention we enjoyed our labors outside with a mezcal margarita rimmed with Hibiscus salt. Yummy!
Highly recommended!!

Fun morning
Very enjoyable day cooking mole with my sister. Jane was kind enough to educate us on Mexican history plus modern day Mexico ideologies, politics, etc. I had previously taken a street foods class. Really good recipes and a nice set up for cooking.I would 100% recommend any cooking class with them.

The cooking class was amazing. Jane was great! Not only did she give a great cooking lesson, but a history lesson as well. The location was beautiful, and had a great group to learn and cook with. I highly recommend this class!!!

Holiday highlight
A wonderful morning of trying amazing food. Not only were they knowledgeable but made us feel very comfortable with our two children attending as well ( 3 months and 3 years). A highlight of our family holiday.

This was an absolutely amazing experience. We loved both the location and the atmosphere. Jane is more than a chef, she’s an educator, a food enthusiast and a culture lover. You can tell how passion she is about what she does and as a result it made the experience even more enjoyable. Getting to know a bit about her, her lifestyle and her take on the culture there was an absolute blast. We will without a doubt be coming back.

Thank you Jane, for sharing a piece of your paradise with us!

Oh, and if you don’t know- Jane has the cutest restaurant in town and the food is amazing! Highly recommend 🤍

Don't leave without the cookbook!

My husband and I are what I call a "kitchen cooks." Good enough to know our way around knives and figure out a meal from leftovers in the pantry. Certainly not chefs. Three hours with Jane in her wonderful open kitchen will be a gift for half a dozen friends coming this week for a "tasting" of green and red salsas, a nopales salad (we actually have cactus growing like weeds in our island yard) and that over-the-top zucchini-and-cream. Oh, and the hibiscus tea with tequila to top it off. Cooking with Jane is a not-to-be missed opportunity for any chef or kitchen cook wanting to elevate their understanding of Oaxacan food. We love cooking classes; this is one of the best. Don't leave without her cookbook!

Fantastic morning sampling local cuisine
Our guide Jane is a restaurant owner and long time resident of the area. She gave us a history of Huatulco as well as introduced us to many local foods. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Great cooking class for everyone
My daughter and I enjoyed a lovely morning learning how to make mole with Jane. The school is set in a beautiful location just out side the center of town on the Zimatan river. Not only is Jane kind and welcoming but she is a great teacher and shares her knowledge of the local food, culture and history. I was a wonderful experience that I would highly recommend.

Memorable and a Must Do

Not only did we learn how to make some delicious cuisine, we learned about the foods we used to prepare them, and the history of Mexico. Jane had wonderful hospitality and a beautiful location to not only cook, but enjoy the foods we made. As an extra bonus, we had an amazing brunch at Cafe Juanita's and purchased some of the salts we used in our salsas. Highly recommend and we will be back for sure.

A Must Do Cooking Class

A wonderful time. Not just a cooking class, but history, an amazing outdoor atmosphere, new friends!! The food was delicious and her beautiful outdoor table made this a very authentic Mexican experience. What I thought was going to be a little day filler on my vacation turned out to be the high light! This definitely earns a 10 taco rating!
