Great experience , Boris and his family are great host ! Generous pours with their tasting experience that’s done for the Rick Steve’s tour groups . Cheeses , ham and salami were farm fresh and greatly completed the wines . Boris produces several reds but we liked the cab sav the best ! If you find yourself out in this part of Slovenia stop for a visit and have a non drinker take you to your next stop!

We visited the Boris Lisjak Winery as part of an organized of Slovenia. We were met by Boris who gave us an excellent tour of his winery with a great lunch. We never knew how Slovenian wines was so fine and would rival French wines in our opinion. Boris gave us an extended tour of his wine making process plus the winery grounds which were maintained beautifully. A wonderful few hours with lunch!

We are returning customers, will always come back, Mr.Boris Lisjak is a fountain of knowledge on wines and a lovely person overall. Also, producing THE BEST Teran in the world does not hurt 😜 ... Lovely for a stay or just wine-tasting.

This experience could not have been topped. We were treated to a wonderful Slovenian meal prepared by members of Boris' family. We were served some of the delicious wine and then got to purchase some bottles to take on the rest of our trip. We even got a tour of the ancient cellars. A few years later we were back in Slovenia with my husband's parents. We wanted to bring them here, but could not figure out how to make contact.

We were at Lisjak place with group of 30 people and we were served with four types of their wines, includind Sara as the best one. Of course also home made proscutto and local cheese were offered. Everything was excellent explained by the owner himself and was a perfect degustation of their wines including typical food.

Lovely host, nice rooms, excellent wine (especially the one from the 100 year-old wine!). The breakfast makes your eyes pop out (local pršut and other fun stuff). Mr.Lisjak is one of the best slovenian wine connosieurs, has many interesting stories to tell. Best go there during a wine and prosciutto festival, what an experience!

Our tour group stopped here on a lovely day in crush season. Winemaker Boris took time from his busy crush day to take us on a tour of this beautiful, time-honored winery. A lovely and knowledgeable granddaughter, 8th generation in this family of winemakers!, presented our lovely lunch and kept us informed of each wine we enjoyed. I highly recommend a stop here, and the delicious lunch is a wonderful bonus, if you can arrange it. I purchased 3 of the Cabernet Sauvignon wines, one to take home to Washington to one of my favorite winemakers. Cheers!

A group of 30+ visited the winery and had a guided tour of the cellar with a rich history. The tour was guided by the owner Boris - a unique experience of a legend.
With some local food (cheese and prosciutto) we had a wine tasting of various kinds, all excellent.

Während eines Triest-Aufenthaltes waren wir in Lipica Golfen und haben gefragt, wo es in der Nähe guten Slowenischen Wein gibt.
Würden an Boris verwiesen und bekamen von ihm eine private Kellerführung und durften verkosten.
Besonders erwähnenswert die spürbare Leidenschaft und die speziell designte Form der Weinflaschen. Natürlich haben wir was mitgenommen...

Hello, I am interested in stopping by the Boris Lisjak winery on a Tuesday in June. I have tried the "registration" link on their website, but have received no response. I think the link is for rooms, not wine tasting (it is in Slovenian). Did you just drop by, call ahead? I don't know the etiquette for visiting a winery in Slovenia. Can you advise me?
