This beach is really fun. You can have lunch and drinks at the Emerald Beach Resort, which was great. You can also get drinks at the water amusement park or at another additional stand along the beach.
The water park is a huge inflatable obstacle course which was really fun, and there are also jet ski rentals and a guy who pulls you in a tube behind his jet ski. That guy can also take you over to Water Island.
We went there for three days straight and it was so fun!!

Convenient to Crown Bay where the RCCL ships dock. We only docked for half of a day so this was the best beach option for us. Chairs are available for rent. You can purchase drinks at the nearby hotel bar. Not the best beach in St.Thomas but it is good if you are pressed for time.

This beach is a hidden gem and every bit as beautiful as Magens Beach but without the crowds. It has the blue aqua water and white sandy beaches and friendly curious fish and shells that wash to shore. The best part was that it was steps from my hotel room so I could gaze upon it from my room. I went swimming a lot here and within a day I felt at home - that it was my beach. There is one small spot of rocks, coral, and seagrass in the bay but close to shore where if you stand still, fish (about 5" long) will come up to you and swim around you -just curious. There are also schools of tiny (1") minnows and if you are on shore you might see a pelican swooping down to get something to eat off the water. One day there was a wedding here another day a flock of gulls came swooping in and oh! there are the families of roosters, hens, and chicks always scratching the sand for a tidbit to eat.
The beach is immaculately maintained by a diligent groundskeeper who I saw every day straightening chaise lounges, picking up debris, and doing the tasks that make the beach so special. If I ever return to St Thomas, I will return to Lindbergh Beach.

We sought out the floating obstacle course on this beach, otherwise we would have never come so close to the airport. Honestly, might have been our funnest day in VI. My teenage girls did two rides on floaters pulled by jet skis and had a blast. We also spent an hour on the floating obstacle course racing, laughing and falling in the water. Kind people run the beach- kept my bag safe in their office. Obstacle course was $25 for adult and less for my teens. Floater rides around $10 per person- honestly, the best deal and most fun we found on our trip.

Sunday Limin’ seems to be the way to go. Albeit more of a local flavor on Sundays, which I do enjoy, the beach consists of a large arc of sand with plenty of space to spread out. One Love chair rental is extremely convenient with very friendly service. $10 chair rental (2 chairs and umbrella for $25). Great music.
The Grand and I meandered back and forth between our chairs and the beach bar @ Emerald Beach Resort for food and drink. Prices are typical for resort-type fare. The mahi-mahi sandwich is excellent. Clean bathrooms at the beach resort. I didn’t see a shower to rinse off the sand but I’m sure there was one if I inquired.
3rd visit to the island, but, first time I’ve chilled at this beach. Spent the entire day here before taxi-ing to my hotel downtown. Looking forward to bringing my sister and friends to this beach, even, if we just spend the day in port on a future cruise.

It's impossible not to notice the beautiful water on this beach while leaving the STT airport... yet it took us 2nd trip to St Thomas to finally come here and spend some time.
There is some parking along the main street or you can park at the Emerald Beach Resort, which has also parking available to outside guests since their restaurant on the beach is also open to everyone - we opted with the latter.
Portion of the beach is directly in front of the resort, which is accessible of course to anyone since beaches are public, but then there is also a beach chair rental business as you continue along the beach. Didn't try them but they played some great reggae music and the vibes were good - there were some guys selling weed but a simple no thank you is all you needed to say.
The food and drinks at the Emerald Beach Resort were of decent quality as well but some other non-resort food joints are closer to the beach chair rental business if that's more to your liking.
Bonus: the highlight of the beach is the taking off planes on the STT airport - in my modest and personal opinion far greater than St Maarten!
TIP: the hotel beds are for the hotel patrons but no body checks that... although very bitten and in desperate need of TLC it was a welcome "added value" to visiting the area, as cheap on our end as it sounds :P

I spent about an hour at Lindbergh Bay Beach. It is literally right adjacent to the airport. You can see and you can hear the airplanes take off. There are many nice views of the surrounding mountains. There are also many rentals available. The water was clear and warm, but I did not see any marine life. There were a few rocks in the water and the swimming section was relatively small. The beach was rather quiet, and it is not a very large beach in terms of its sand portion. I noticed that there were a lot of local people at this beach. It is possible to get to this beach from Charlotte Amalie by a cab, but I did about a 3 mile walk each way. There were sidewalks and the total walk took me around an hour per way.

We enjoyed this beach. Street parking and near the airport. There are chairs to rent but the guys who worked there were more intent on arguing with each other than actually helping us so we walked closer to the hotel, where there are chairs and umbrellas for rent. No crowds at all and felt like we had the beach to ourselves. Water is crystal clear and sand is soft - no rocks. We would definitely come again.

Close to the airport and you park next to the road and travel down through foliage and rocks, which adds to the fun of it - pleasant beach with playground. Restrooms were a little beat up with doors that didnt really close - i think a remnant of the recent storms.

Very calm beautiful beach. Not great for snorkeling as there is not any sea like around this beach. Although My husband and I did find some star fish out a little further from the shore. It is a public beach but beautiful and clean,

Not sure if you are coming for a visit but I strongly suggest you
wait a few months. We are in revocery mode. Some beaches
are open, but water is not cleared up yet and lots of hazards
in the waters , like pieces of broken houses, etc. only about 20%
of the island has power. Many many roofless homes.

free beach and i woudn't walk from the cruise ports because it is a industrial area all the way there it cost about 5.00 bucks each way.you can rent beach chairs there or just sit on the sand. also it is by the local airport so you see planes come and go. it is the closet beach to the ports and not crowded like all the others there...have fun and enjoy your time there... Another reviewer mention that there was no fee to access the beach but that there were fees to rent a beach chair. Is this near the port where the cruise ships dock?

There is no fee to access the beach, but there is a fee ($5 i think) to rent a beach chair. Most cruise ships dock at the Havensight location, so you would need to take a taxi from there. I think the taxi for two was about $10 each way.
