No, not really, but a fantastic place to unwind, relax, enjoy rum punch and waste time listening to the great and the bad on karaoke. This was my third visit to the island and the Rum Shop is just yards from your docking point. On this visit we never got further than this which many of you may think is a wasted day, but it's a holiday and when it is so hot you just want to relax and chill and you can't find a better spot to chill. There is a large grass area on three sides of the Rum Shop or as we call it, The Rum Shack. Just opposite is a new addition of another bar which offers four locally brewed real ales including a fantastic IPA and for the younger enthusiasts a hoppy chocolate stout.
You can sit and watch the small aircraft departing and arriving on the VERY small airstrip just across the bay or if you want, shop at the duty-free markets just behind the shack.
And the prices! Not bad at all, a rum punch that knocks your socks off is around $5.00US and the real ale bar serves your beer in pint glasses, so a real measure.
I have visited possibly a dozen or so Carribean islands and this bar is in the top five
If you are very lucky you may even catch one of the ship's special star guest singers having a dring and joining in on the karaoke and then you are in for a real treat.

This has to be the best Rum I ever had. The one mistake I made I didn't buy enough to take home. The coffee Rum is a real winner!

First visited the Rum Shack current location in 1996 when going on a helicopter flight over St Lucia which took off right next door.
Have visited the Rum Shack now Rum Shop every Cruise since and would not go to St Lucia without doing so.
Don’t know why but to me The Rum Shack was a better name and should never have been changed.
Fantastic atmosphere but you have to be careful not to get to carried away and miss the sailing especially if you have berthed on the town side and miss last water taxi.
Have partied in there with acts from the cruise such as Clem (god rest his soul) ex Fortunes lead singer (build me up buttercup)
If you ever cruise to St Lucia don’t miss out visit The Rum Shop (Shack)

We visited the Rum shop on a day visit from our cruise in February, after a day touring the island we visited the Rum shop for a souvenir. We bought a couple of bottles of the local crystal Rum and ended up staying the rest of the afternoon at the karaoke bar and had a great time. It's a fun place and the staff are fantastic and very friendly. It's worth a visit if your there for sure.

Ideal if you quickly want to send messages with the wi fi but later in the afternoon it becomes one mad party full of drunk revellers. Okay if that is what you are looking for!

Everything in this store is vastly overpriced and in US dollars; no service, they could care less you are there / avoide it, it is a money grab as is everything in the Pointe Seraphine terminal.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you were disappointed with the service you received as well as our pricing - we price our items in US dollars because that is the currency in which we make most of our sales, as one would expect from a store operating at a cruise terminal.
We think that our prices are very competitive, and invite you to do some comparison shopping. For example, we offer the super premium Admiral Rodney brand at about US$5 less than our competitors. Other products start as low as US$ 8, providing options for every budget!
I have reached out to our store supervisor to reiterate the importance of providing everyone who visits us with the stellar customer service for which our store is known. I do hope that on your next visit to Point Seraphine you give us the chance to "wow" you.

Die Besichtigung des Rum Shops lohnt sich nicht wirklich. Es ist vollständig auf Touristen ausgelegt. Die Authentizität ist leider nicht gegeben

We read on TA about the WiFi at this drinking place so went there to send emails. Two Rum Punches for $10 and then one of the girls puts the code into your device. It worked for us and the drinks weren't bad either. It was very noisy when we were there, karaoke with lots of people that had had too much to drink. It served our purpose.

I believe the WiFi is free if you order anything. The sign is a bit confusing but it references the $5 WiFi in the terminal and the fact that you can get 3 Caribs for $6 and have the WiFi there. (Note, if you don't want to give your device to a server, you won't get the WiFi. They won't just give you the password. They only enter it into your device.)
The music is a bit overbearing so if you are sensitive to that, you should probably find another place.
There is a store next door that will also give you free samples of rum. The coffee rum was great.

We are currently addressing the issue of our signage, since we recently changed our special, but you are essentially correct. WIFI is free with purchase, or you can pay $5 and enjoy a day of WIFI.
I have forwarded your comments regarding the music to the manager for consideration.
I hope you bought a bottle of the coffee rum to take back with you! It's something special that you won't find in many other places.
I hope you stop by again should you visit our beautiful island in the future. Once again, thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback!

A great place to stop if you are looking for rum and wifi. Located in the shopping area where the cruise ships stop this pleasant outdoor bar specializes in rum drinks. Once you spend $6 they will give you the wifi password. I noticed that a few folks had ordered food from a nearby food booth. A nice touch plus they brought the food over to your table. So I was happy I stopped here and would recommend this to friends.
