ero lì in crociera con la mia famiglia, ho bei negozi di arte locale, gioielli principalmente tanzanite / argento e un buon bar, è ok per souvenir e magliette, niente di speciale

Questo negozio strappa il turista. È gestito da un uomo indiano. Non c'è niente in vendita qui. Tutti quelli che lavorano in questo negozio ottengono un guadagno e loro vi calpestano. Non pagare mai con una carta qui. Paga sempre in contanti. Tuttavia, non comprare mai souvenir qui. Questo negozio si trova sul fianco giusto vicino alla banca della Nuova Scozia. Il nome di questo negozio è il negozio di regali Priceless. Ancora una volta, per favore, non andare qui. Meglio ancora comprare i tuoi souvenir all'aeroporto.

Becareful at the Banana Bay gift shop nice people but no deal

This is where all of the tour taxis which is another issue pull in and drop you off at the hip strip and don't warn you about these people on the deals they are not giving you. We were taken for a ride after we spent a couple hundred dollars and they supposedly share a huge discount with us go to find out later there really was no discount we went to mystic mountain and shirts that we supposedly received huge discounts on where at the mountain for 5 to 8 dollars cheaper than the Banana bay shop. Now this was our only time shopping in town but wished we would have waited to shop at the end of the trip

muitas variedades de presentes e bastante organizado. Recomendo levar US$, pq o $ jamaicano é muito desvalorizado e todos os produtos na Jamaica toda estao em US$. Mas fique atento pq os produtos tem um preco na etiqueta e na nota fiscal tem outro, ou seja, eles cobram 16,5% de taxas. Pelo jeito é uma prática normal na Jamaica em outras lojas tb tivemos o preco aumentado no final.

was there on a cruise with my family, have nice shops of local art, jewellery mainly tanzanite/silver and a good coffee shop, Is ok for souveniers and T-Shirts, nothiong fancy

This store rips off tourist. Its ran by a Indian man. There is nothing on sale here. Everybody that works in this store gets a pay-cut and they over chage you. Never pay with a card here. Always pay cash. However never buy souvenirs here. This store is on the hip-strip right next to Nova Scotia bank. The name of this store is Priceless gift shop. Once again please do not go here. Better yet buy your souvenirs at the Airport.

Largely abandoned strip mall

This place is next door to the docked cruise ships so you might assume that it would be bustling with activity. It is not. This is a mostly empty strip mall with only a small bar and t shirt shop remaining. (Both of which are actually OK but cash only) Not worth the trip.

Run down, mostly empty, and very disappointing

Made a trip to check out the shopping center as thought that if next to the cruise ship terminal would have lots of selection for souvenirs and dining .... What a disappointing and depressing place.

Seems to be two stores (with helpful vendors), and a restaurant, but nothing else.

Avoid! A waste of time!

We saw the sign out on the road saying there was a Jamaican restaurant so we turned in to check it out. There are a lot of vacant stores. We couldn't find the restaurant and it looked a little scary so we left. Later we made reservations for massage and the massage place turned out to be on the bay side of the shopping center and very lovely but I never would have found it if Claudette hadn't come out to the parking lot to greet us.

THE OLD SHOPS IS NOW REPLACED WITH NEW - IN TRANSITION

The old shopping centre is now a ghost town, most of the shops are now offices, the shopping centre has just been built and so new shops will abound, i only visited one, the prices are average with lots of souvenirs. i would prefer city centre Mobay for more choice

Montego Bay feels very poor and run down as you leave the airport. Lots of roadside stalls selling sandwiches, fruit and beer. But lots of people sleeping rough who look very impoverished also line the roads, literally.

There's a shanty town of stalls selling tacky souvenirs and tea shirts. This place doesn't feel safe or friendly.

"Falmouth And Montego Bay At Leisure"

Во время круиза на Celebrity Silhouette мы заранее выбрали экскурсию для знакомства с Ямайкой ($44, около 5-ти часов).
Без экскурсий не ощутишь дыхание страны, т.к с круизных судов тебя высаживают на по-своему окультуренную территорию, мало отражающую культуру страны. На этом туре мы кое-что увидели. Страна, конечно, малоразвитая. Шикарные отели контрастируют с бедными хижинами коренного населения. За всю дорогу на автобусе почти не встретили людей, посмотрели недостроенные здания, красивые особняки (говорят, даже русские владеют ими) и побывали на пирсе, где нас угостили известными банановыми кексами (язык проглотишь!) и жиденьким фильтр-кофе. Хотя было сказано, что оно лучшее в мире. Пирс представлял собой вынесенный в океан бар, где, наконец-то мы увидели местных жителей. Это было самое приятное время провождение. В баре мы попробовали местный ром ($3 шот), и здесь он оказался в два раза дешевле, чем на торговой площади у причала.
После чего нас отвезли в город искупаться и походить по магазинам. Пляж принадлежит отелю, вход с чел., стулья и зонты - все по $6. Но не торопитесь брать зонт. На территории есть теневые стороны от пальм, их не много, но если сначала осмотреться, то потом всегда можно докупить зонт или, если повезет, разместиться под пальмой. По пляжу ходит персонал и предлагает напитки. В раздевалке есть душевые комнаты, а так же свободны и на самом пляже. Вода в марте прохладная и нещадное солнце (обгорели). Нам хватило часа на океане, после чего отправились к указанной улице для покупок. НИКАКОЙ АГРЕССИИ среди продавцов. Все очень мирно, а если и настаивали, то понятно - детей кормить надо. Но все в рамках дозволенного, никакого неудовольствия не испытали. Обязательно торгуйтесь, до 50%. Цену загибают смехотворно. Люди торговые, понятно.
После шопинга - на автобус и к порту. Действительно, построено что-то вроде большого магазина на открытом воздухе. НО, то что там продают - никакого отношения к промыслу местных не относится. Все это можно купить в Америке, не заплывая в Фелмос. Все вещи были на столько безделицами, что мы решили просто сходить в известный Jimmy Buffets Margaretville. Это оказался чистой воды муровейник. Действительно, есть бассейн, но в нем как огурцы торчат люди в купальниках с напитками в руках и не могут особенно уж шевелиться. Цена на ром оказалась запредельной (в сравнении с ценой на пирсе), и мы покинули и это место.
Но само общение с народом создало нам шикарное настроение.
