Amazing elephant ride with spectacular views. Spotted the famous rhinos.

Stop Opting Elephant Riding.!! It is so cruel. The more you choose elephant Riding, more you make them suffer.
Its a beautiful place, but I unfortunately opted for elephant riding. I couldn't enjoy the nature's serenic beauty or the main attraction ie the One horned Rhinosorous because I was so sad seeing the pathetic conditions of the elephants.
They are beaten, purposefully hurt on the wounds again and again so that they obey the commands
There is no point in posing for a picture with your blissfull smile, on the top of a tired, wounded, helpless and sad elephants.
Please consider when you make a trip to Kaaziranga.
You are going to nature to see them live not to hurt them.

Safari on Elephant is totally different from the Jeep Safari. They take you near the animals and even the animals don’t’ mind. But it is arranged early morning. Need to book in advance or pay hefty sum to the brokers. They prefer foreigners over Indians which is surprising.

The park is beautiful and holds worlds endangered species. It is a great way to learn and love about nature and animals and get to see them closer however, PLEASE AVOID ELEPHANT SAFARI!! These animals are cruelly domesticated so they can carry humans. A park where all animals roam free, these magnificent animals are held captive so they can carry us. If you want to experience a safari then please use the Jeep’s and avoid elephant rides. End animal cruelty by saying no to animal rides.

The kaziranga safari was in our bucket list for long time. The day we landed in kaziranga, it was heavily pouring and was little disappointed,whether we ll be able to spot one horned rhinos,for which the place is famous for.
Luckily on day 2 mid morning, rain subsided and we went for the afternoon safari. It was an amazing experience and totally different from other sanctuary safaris. This place is of vast wetlands,with flat surfaces n lot of waterbodies, and few small islands formed in between these wetlands. We were so lucky, the moment we entered through western range, spotted a mother and a baby rhino. As we progressed inside spotted more of rhinos, swamp deer's n few wild buffalos. Elephants spotted were mostly tamed ones. We could spot golden eagle, Indian roller, spotted kingfisher,black oriole, plum headed parkeets and wag tail.
The next day morning we took central range. This was the ultimate experience. Nature was in her perfect glory with abundant sunshine. The environment and lighting was every Photographer's delight.Able to spot rhinos,but the numbers were more in western range than here, buffalo and swamp deers. Spotted some beautiful birds like sunbird, spotted owl, black necked crane, grey herons etc. It was an never ending journey, so delightful, but we need end it as we have to return back to Shillong.
Very memorable safari. We spotted all 4 out of 5 big fives of kaziranga except tiger. Their 5 big fives are wild buffalos,tigers, rhino, swamp deer and elephants.

The last visit to the Park was in Bagori range for a jeep safari. After a long time have decided to take a jeep safari as we normally take the elephant ride. This was good trip for almsot 2 hours. There lot of photo opportunities particularly of migratory birds and tortoises on wooden branches.

We happened to do elephant safari as well as jeep safari in the Kaziranga national park. We took help of hotel staff for safari bookings.
We experienced thrill in elephant safari from Bahari range.Elephant safari is carried by the authorities in two slots. First slot starts at 6.15 and second slot at 7.15. The duration of safari is one hour. First few min i felt afraid, but became normal later. During safari we came across many animals, water bodies, vultures,birds . one horn rhinos, wild buffaloes, sambar deer, king Fisher, eagle, Red jungle fowl, pelican are widely seen.
For the enjoyment of children doing elephant safari on the instructions received from Mahout , elephants pluck flowers and give.
We did jeep safari from Kohora range. During Jeep safari we can see tall elephant grass. Visitors should wear cap to get protection from sun. Jeep safari is carried out in the morning at 7.30 and 8.30. In the afternoon from 2 pm.
When compared to jeep safari, we enjoyed elephant safari a lot and had second safari the very next day.
For elephant safari, visitors should take own vehicle or hired vehicle to the place where safari starts. For jeep safari we can start from our hotel.
We feel happy when we feed bananas to elephants at safari starting point. One can have Tea and snacks at the entrance run by petty vendors on payment.
Due to holidays of our kids we visited the national park in the month of April. The best season is winter. From May the National park will be closed on account of rainy season.
Overall we enjoyed our visit to the sanctuary.

加濟蘭加自然保護區不收入場費，但必須幫相機買票，四百盧比一位，不算貴。
保護區的辦公室外放了多具動物頭骨，均來自保護區內最具代表性的野生動物。
加濟蘭加保護區是個雀鳥天堂，有很多不同種類的野生雀鳥。
保護區內的白犀牛是大明星，幾乎百分百保證可以看見。
記得一定要參加騎象，可以同野生動物作近距離接觸。
遺憾的是，沒有看見老虎……
保護區的辦公室外放了多具動物頭骨，均來自保護區內最具代表性的野生動物。

The park is well organized and the vendors who provide the Elephant and Jeep safaris do a great job.
The elephant ride into the grass got you up close to dozens of Rhinos as well as a number of smaller animals. As an old guy I have to say I could hardly walk when we got back do to the length of time and less than comfortable position-- BUT it was worth every minute of it. We started from the hotel before daylight and were actually set to go in the misty early morning. Plenty of animals to see and a great time.
The second half of the day was the jeep safari. Again we saw rhinos, but also free roaming elephants, buffalo and many interesting birds.
The park was a definite highlight of my trip.
