I visited Raichak and Diamond Harbour in a single day and find both places amazing in the bank of Ganga. I could not ride the boat as it was drizzling but can feel the charm of sailing over Ganga.

The entire district is situated in the Ganges Delta & is now more popular among pilgrims who come to take a dip in the Holy river.
Just an hour away from the city, this town is a great place to drive to on a Sunday afternoon when traffic isn’t too insane. The sound of the waves gently hitting the rocks has a soothing effect on the mind and is therapeutic
Local fishermen indulge in shrimp farming with locally made nets.

I took a ferry in Local place. It's a Local transportation for local people or villagers. I take enjoy of ride. Local bus stands is on spot.

This one of the few famous town of South 24 parganas. This town is at the bank of the river Ganges. From here you can see Haldia at the opposite side of the river.

Just a 2.5 hrs drive from the hustle and bustle of kolkata will you find yourself on the roadways leading to Ganga ... you can sit beside the same enjoy the small waves breaking down silently and see water receding in low tide

The only reason I visited this place was that it is near to Kolkata. There is nothing much to do apart from sitting beside the Ganges and enjoy a pleasant weather.

One of the busiest places. Though a bit congested, one would love to sit by the side of the river and enjoy the sounds of water splashes. There are lot of small eateries where local fish and other snacks could be enjoyed. One can buy good quality fresh fish also from the local market. Overall a wonderful experience.

Nothing much to see. View of Ganga river is enjoyable! Very near from Kolkata. May be ideal for a day long picnic or at most one night stay!
