If you want to visit Kumaon, you may spend here one night. It is quite, calm peaceful. A paradose for bird lovers and photographers. We have spent 2nights here at KMVN TRH. Lovely experience but please do not expect too much amenities or luxury. As it is a place inside in forest area solar power is the only saviour and that too for 3hrs in the evening. But I hope that would be not a great issue for nature lovers and travellers not so called tourists.

We did go to Binsar zero point which is approx 3 km small trek
But the Trek is mesmerizing.
We could hear sounds of various birds chirping, saw wild boars, langur on our way to zero point
From zero point we could see clear view of the snow laden peaks
Try going there before noon

After paying requisite fee we entered in the Binsar Wildlife sanctuary. Place is good for visit. But we returned from mid as road was not good. Our bolero neo sticked in concrete and soil. Authorities are taking entry fees from visitors but do not providing good and safe road to visitors. If you are travelling with kids, please avoid to visit this place.
My humble request to authorities to provide visitors a good and safe road.

Binsar is a wild life sanctuary close to Almora. You can drive up to the sanctuary check post, pay the fees (Rs 150 per Indian tourist and Rs 250 per vehicle) to enter the sanctuary and drive 10km through the sanctuary along a narrow single lane road which is in poor condition. If you are lucky you may spot some wild animals. Driving itself is an adventure when you have traffic coming from the opposite direction and it is scary passing each other with a steep drop on your side of the road without any guard rail. At the end of the 10km drive you have to park your vehicle and trek 2 kms to "Zero Point". Its a long trek which is quite steep for those who are not physically active. Carry sufficient water. At "Zero Point" there is a small watch tower which you can climb and look into the valley. The view is mostly obscured and if you are lucky you could even catch a glimpse of the snow clad mountains or so it is said. We weren't lucky. Then we trekked back to the car and drove down and exited the sanctuary. The whole trip took about two and half hours starting from the check post and back to it. It would be worth your while only if you are a keen bird watcher or working free lance for National Geographic or similar publications. Else, the only reason you need to go there is if you have plenty of time to spare. There is a hotel along the drive where you could stay in case you are a nature lover of the variety mentioned earlier. There is a restaurant as well on the way but they do not entertain customers other than during specific hours.

The wildlife sanctuary is basically a small forest area where some birds can be spotted. Maybe the animals are there but I could not spot even a single deer or a fox. Such forests are there all around in Uttarakhand. I would have given the forest more stars but for the garbage. I saw packets of chips, plastic bottles scattered at various places.

Last time couldn’t stay . This time stayed in binsar kmvn. The sanctuary is pure bliss . You can walk to the viewpoint. The walk is refreshing. Binsar kmvn is in great location. Although only kmvn where most of the stuff was a bit arrogant . Maybe because of the monopoly. A smiling staff would have made the stay even better.
Between surprisingly not too many birds in binsar. Found a lot near munsiary

The roads leading to the guest house on the top ( 10 kms) are very narrow but adventures to drive on. The 2 km trek from the guest house to zero point has beautiful views, surrounded by lush green trees and occasions growl of animals.
It’s a place one cannot afford to skip while in Binsar

No. It's a pretty isolated place and not too many people. But then I was there in December and did not see any cab at the gate. Better to take your own vehicle.

You can hire any vehicle or go by your own as buses will not ply till Binsar...Till Almora & Ksardevi Buses or Local taxis will be available anyway.
From Almora there are regular buses & taxis on regular basis.
It's a kind of nature walk only & you can explore it yourself.Try to avoid odd hours(Night) as entry check will be there at Forest security gates..

Yes easily..!!!!
There are some curves near Kainchi ( Bhowali) & Binsar itself.
If you are comfortable with hilly drive than it's not a big deal.We had taken Chevrolet there..
Don't forget to try Dolma's momos in kasardevi.

How is the road condition to Binsar Wild Life Sanctuary and Jageshwar Temple
from Almora?

If v talk avout Jageshwar Temple , then road system from Almora is pretty much good . On the way u can also visit Golu devta mandir , which is really famous there .
On the other hand if v'll talk about BWS , reaching this spot is very easy 1'ce u take ur entry ricket & go inside ur cab/jeep is allowed to go halway after then u will have to go on foot . There r several points inside the sanctuary where u will feel that ur car might fall in the deep Valley. Roads r a bit dangerous bt nt everywhere . Trekking road is in good condition & u'll definitely make memories of it .
Hope i answered well !
Cheers 👍
