Incredible location and atmosphere, but was a bit cold even with fire and heating. Food was great but a bit slow. Wine list had several errors on it- easily corrected with a bit of effort. Staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. Would recommend happily, especially for special occasions. Just needs a few tweaks to make it truly great.

First time back for years. The setting is quite unique. The day was a bit chilly but sunny. So we were inside under glass it warm with a wood fire. The food was familiar with delightful twists. Service was very good. A great place for lunch with a table of friends or couples. I will be back.

We decided to take a drive up into the Adelaide Hills today and to have a light lunch somewhere.We chose the Bridgewater Mill and what a good decision that was!!,
The new owners , who have only recently taken over went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Excellent service, lovely ambience. The menu was explained in detail and we decided to opt for a selection of the "smaller" plates. Absolutely delicious! We had the steak tartare, Kingfish sashimi, croquettes and duck dumplings. The dumplings were so morish that we had 2 helpings!!! [ All made fresh on the premises] Also the Roti was exceptional. We will certainly be back. Highly recommend!! The large verandah outside with views of the grounds is delightful on a summer's day,

Set in a beautiful garden area, while the Bridgewater Mill is now a restaurant, the exterior, and particularly the water wheel makes it a very worthwhile attraction to take time to stop at and admire.
