Snow on the ground, no worries, the platform has been cleared not only for rail passengers but for folks just visiting the station.
The displays are very good, clear about the area both attractions and dangers, and well done to the team from Stirling Uni with their core of peat et al.
The owner is kind enough to provide makings for a hot drink too, with honesty box; and a heater in the toilets.
Too early in the year for the Tearoom to be open, worry not, visit!

Great little find with lots of local information for any kind of traveller. Has much information and some things to buy also. Definitely worth a visit.

So weird to find this but surprisingly interesting. Even better a wonderful tea shop right next door on the platform. Sounds awful but it was amazing. Bygone Victorian days :-)

On remote Rannoch Station, this is a great place to spend half an hour before your train arrives - the visitors’ centre exhibitions are interesting and informative. Importantly, however, it provides a lovely piece of hospitality in an extremely remote area: a kettle, tea bags, snacks (honesty box) and a couple of heaters could well be a genuine life saver when there is nothing else for miles around and the weather is closing in. We left Rannoch Station feeling like I had been looked after and cared for - thank you to Jenni and Bill for giving us such a sense of Highland Hospitality.

A great insight into the history and topography of the area. Strangely enough you’ll note so much more on the drive back down once you’ve been to the centre.

This place is a destination, but well worth the effort. If you want to see the beauty of the Scottish Moor, this is the place! A very nice tea room with a good selection of sandwiches and drinks is also available.

Really interesting visitor centre, learned lots about the moor and we even saw some deer on our way in. Love[d the tea honesty box. Delightful.

Wie met de trein langs Rannoch Moor komt, moet hier beslist even uitstappen voor dit unieke koffie (of Thee) huis in de voormalige wachtkamer van station Rannoch. Nog beter is een nachtje overnachten in het vlakbij gelegen hotel, maar dat moet je wel ruim tevoren boeken vanwege het beperkt aantal kamers. Maar dan overnacht je ook op een heel unieke plek) In het koffiehuis is het genieten van de zelfgemaakte taarten.

Its very remote ad the scenery is stunning, take a walk be it long or short from here if you can. A lovely original station with a small but informative display. Make sure you visit the café, the staff are very welcoming and the cakes are the best I've tasted.
