Lynne, we are disappointed you didn't enjoy your trip with us and we have emailed you directly as you know, with a response to your claims, some of which just aren't true. But we totally accept our shortcomings and will use your feedback to improve. We certainly want to be open to constructive feedback and don't shy away from negative reviews, and as a small business we aren't beyond making mistakes. But, as was the case for you, all our guests are offered on call support and on the ground back up, and this was clearly provided for you to ensure your trip went smoothly. We have reviewed all your (many) emails to us pre trip and all were answered in a reasonable time (longest delay was 3 days). Your inquiries were not urgent ('what size is the seat' for example) and well before your arrival. We believe this is very reasonable. Our 1300 number is answered 24/7 even when staff are away, so that option was available to you if needing information urgently in the lead up to your arrival. And yes one of the benefits of joining a guided tour is having a local expert with you throughout to cover any issues that arise. Our teams are available to assist all our guests but choosing to travel self guided, as is clearly stated in our communications to you, means this assistance is on call. The very support you claim wasn't provided, was in fact provided as you state yourself, so we are confused by this position. Your cycling trip was delivered as promised, and there was no interruption to your travels at any point. We have identified one breakfast booking error but again this didn't interrupt your trip at all and you enjoyed a cooked breakfast with coffee as expected. Having said all that, we aim for each and every guest, regardless of their expectations, to enjoy their travels with us. We thank you for travelling with us and for your feedback.
