The views were absolutely stunning. The guide Brandon was informative, very helpful and patient. I have never fly fished before and he was able to teach me quickly enough that I was catching fish in no time. I had a blast and booked another trip for next year already. Thank you Kenai River trout Anglers for a wonderful trip.

Brandon was a great guide and took the time to really teach me about the “art” of fly fishing. The trip was awesome! It was the highlight of all my excursions.

Thoroughly enjoyed my full day float fly fishing trip with Brandon on the Upper Kenai. Brandon is a great guide and a fun guy. He put me on the fish quickly and kept them coming all day! Which included some very large rainbows! I’ll be back for sure! Steve S., Redmond, Oregon.

The float fly fishing trip with Matt, our guide, was amazing! About 2 hours into the trip I stopped counting at 17 on Rainbows and Dollies. Matt is a expert guide on trout, and put use on fish all day. Already got another trip planned with him. I've been fishing my whole life, and this day goes down in the top 3.
Thank Matt see ya soon.

Unspoiled wilderness and Rainbows, lots of them! I have fished for rainbows at both of our earth's poles. Bristol Bay and the Kenai Peninsula has the best biology for rainbow that follow the salmon runs in Alaska. It is not necessary to always flyout for a world class fishing experience. JJ Brown and the Kenai Trout River Anglers fit the bill for me. He is also a local Cooper Landing resident and is more in touch with the environment for fulfilling your fishing adventure experience. I like guides that have decades of fishing experience that target water for trophy fish.

Matt was our guide and he was great! Very knowledgeable about the area, put us on great fishing and was clearly respectful of the land. He had a great sense of humor and was enjoyable to spend the day with. The water was higher than normal but he kept us safe and took us to the best places to catch Dolly’s and rainbows. The fish we caught were beautiful!

Came to the Kenai with friends and no fly fishing experience. Both JJ and Matt made the trip epic for a first timer. I learned and caught big fish at the same time. We had great laughs and really enjoyed the time on the river. I totally recommend booking with Kenai River Trout Anglers.

This was my first trip to the Kenai, and my first time fly fishing experience. JJ and Matt were fantastic. They made every day fun and exciting!!! We hooked so many large rainbows and dollys all 3 days!!!! It was an incredible experience. JJ and his team have a client for life!!!!! If anyone is thinking of making this trip…. Call JJ!!!! You won’t find a better guide on this river!

Matt was a great guide, and we had a great time along the Kenai. Whilst we didnt catch that much, we still were able to snag a couple of small trouts. The scenery along the Kenai is stunning, and the boat ride itself was fun and we really enjoyed our day out.

We had a great time trout fishing with JJ. It is a beautiful section of river. It was slow start but JJ was able to put us on fish. We lost count of the number of fish caught.
Gear and instruction were good. We fished from the boat and the banks. It was a great day. Highly recommend!
