Ottimo operatore, vacanza stupenda
Abbiamo organizzato con loro i nostri tour alle galapagos e anche i transfer da e per l aeroporto e i biglietti dei traghetti per isabela e santa cruz. Che dire, Fernanda l operatrice mi ha sempre risposto per ogni bisogno e ogni dubbio. Tutto è stato organizzato alla perfezione. Tutte le attività sono state stupende, sono anche venuti sempre a prenderci e a portarci all hotel ad ogni punto di incontro anche se gli hotel li avevamo presi da soli. Un operatore estremamente affidabile che consiglio a tutti.

I took the bus from Puerto Ayora to Santa Rosa. The bus leaves from the market which is about a 10 minute walk out of town and costs €1. When you arrive in Santa Rosa it is the last stop on the bus and you walk straight ahead. There is a turning on the left which is clearly signposted to the tortoises. You will then reach a point where you can turn left for the Rancho Primicias Tortoise place which is about 700m and right for El Chato which is 1.5km. I had planned on going to Rancho Primicias but read the sign wrong. The walk to El Chato from the sign was 25 minutes and from the bus stop 45 minutes. Rancho Primcias would be a lot closer to walk to.
You have to have a guide to show you round which costs $10. You basically follow a path and do a loop, passing the giant tortoises. It is great to be so close to the tortoises and waych them move. On site there are also 3 lava tunnels that you walk through. I could stand up fully in them, some I have heard of are very low but these ones were not. It is possible to borrow wellington boots for the walk but it was not necessary when I was there and wore trainers. There is a restaurant on site which looks nice and you sit overlooking the area the tortoises are in, however I did not eat there. All in all a good experience. I understand that there are also lava tunnels at the Rancho Primicias site too. Most people do this with an organised taxi from Puerto Ayora, this costs $50 and the driver gives you 45 minutes wait time. You still have to pay your entrance fee on top of that. Doing it independently is lovely as you pass a lot of tortoises on the walk in but it is a long walk in the heat!

It was cool exp but it's cheaper to just buy tickets at entrance. We pretty much double paid through here. Still recommend!

This is a great tour. It was quite rainy the morning we did the tour, but they have mud boots that they make available to you which was great. They take you through a really cool lava tube and then you get to walk around among the tortoises, and there were LOTS of them. We had a guide who was very knowledgeable. It was a great tour. Would highly recommend.

Must visit. Even while driving up the road to the entrance there are tortoises everywhere. They are not captive, they live and roam freely but there are many of them so there is no way you will not see dozens and dozens of them. A guide will take you along one path and give some background on the tortoises on Santa Cruz then you can walk another path in your own time. The tortoises are huge and they are awesome.

The sight of numerous free-roaming tortoises along the road is truly amazing to watch. One of the beauties of el Chato is also that you have some time to explore the paths at your own pace and witness these Giant Tortoises up close. Their size and presence are awe-inspiring. We're glad you had an awesome time.

Un lugar hermoso para caminar, estar en contacto con las tortugas y demás especies autóctonas. Muy bien cuidado. En el ingreso, buena atención. Infusiones para degustar. Digno de visitar

Self guided nicely maintained trails to discover tortoises along the way in various habitats. Also some hidden lava tubes! Great place to spend a couple hours. Enjoyed a nice cup of gratis coffee after hike.

Me encantó mucho el Rancho y donde tienen a las tortugas la verdad que experiencia única, me tocó ver a muchas de ellas alrededor y muy cercanas a tí. Siempre cuidando mi distancia y sin invadir su espacio y ellas fueron bastante sociables

Agradecemos su review en nuestra página. Uno de los animales más característicos, por no decir el ícono de Galápagos, es la tortuga que en los ranchos de la parte alta de Santa Cruz se los puede apreciar al 100% ya que están en su hábitat y permiten a los turistas poder entender más sobre estos hermosos animales.
Esperamos vuelva pronto a Galápagos.

Here tortoises roam freely. Many tortoises can be seen. The terrain makes them easy to spot. But since they are not captive this cannot be absolutely guaranteed.
This reserve covers quite an area but is readily explored. Boots are available if the ground is wet.
The restaurant occupies a covered area with a bar and offer simple but fresh, tasty food. Lovely coconut icecream. There is a small souvenir shop on-site

We kwamen aan op de Galapagos en gingen direct dóór naar deze farm voor lunch en wandeling. De lunch was heerlijk. Tijdens de wandeling veel grote schilpaden gezien. Wat een indrukwekkende beesten. Echt een aanrader om deze beesten van dichtbij te observeren

With a beautiful tree-lined entrance to the park, you will be amazed to find dozens of 120 year old, wild tortoises there to great you. You are able to see them crush guava in a single bite or take a bath. There are also some interesting lava tunnels and an excellent restaurant. Must do on Santa Cruz. There are other areas to see tortoises, but these are wild and abundant.

Clearly, you have set a great description of what you can find at the rach El Chato 2 which is a great supplier we are working with.
Despite of knowing that nature sometimes is predictable, our passengers will have higher chances to spot the emblematic animal that is the Tortoise.
