Fantastic adventure. I’m not huge on heights but this was the perfect level of exciting without being terrifying.

If you're nervous about heights, then DO THIS! Seriously! I went with my dad (who's retired) and we both have that irrational fear of heights. Everything was wonderful and we felt totally safe after experiencing our first zip (we did all four) so we had three more (including the longest in New Zealand) to literally sit back, and enjoy the ride! Special shout out to our crew as well. Everyone at the park was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Amazing time at the Christchurch adventure park. We did all 4 zip lines and found it super fun. Flying down the lines was such a rush and the staff made us feel incredibly safe the whole time. Highly recommend.

What a great day. Went with a 14 year old who, had a great time. Easily booked online. If staying in Christchurch you will need a vehicle or an Uber to get there. It will take about 20 minutes. You can catch the bus and then walk 20-30 minutes if that is your only option. If using the Uber they need to go to McVicar Drive - its well signposted but the Uber and Apple maps take them about 300 metres short of the turn off. We did a 40 min (3km) bush walk and then completed the 4 zip lines. The staff are fantastic and made sure we were well briefed and fitted with equipment. If you have any loose items or backpacks the staff can lock these up for you or you can hire a locker at the cafe. It takes about 2 and a half hours to complete the four zip lines - we were in a group of 10. You will take the chairlift to the top of the mountain and that will give you a bit of a sense of the conditions you will encounter on the zip line - for us this meant gusts of cold wind. You will travel down each of the zip lines as a pair - on side by side zip lines - this was perfect for us. Once you complete your zip you wait for the rest of the group to complete their’s before the whole group moves to the next line. In terms of weather it was pretty windy today but the lines still ran and apparently they still run in the rain - not sure I would be up for that. The first line is the shortest and helps get you settled in to the experience. The lines get higher and longer as you go along. The staff were great at giving us different strategies for getting down the line based on the weather conditions and our size. For example leaning back and making ourselves more streamlined when you are going in to the head wind or if you are a bit lighter like my son is. This made sure he didn’t stop on the line. We then stopped for lunch at the cafe - reasonably priced in comparison to the rest of Christchurch. The mountain bike tracks looked awesome - although on the day we visited there were no beginner runs open so it is definitely worth checking what trails are open - particularly if you have kids with you. You can also complete a second bush walk of an hour and twenty minutes which will take you back up the chairlift which you can catch back down for free.

Not the best day to zip lining, super windy and cold. First I got told my 10 years old might be stuck because wind slow her down and not enough momentum to push her in the end (she made it) But then I am Stuck in line no 2, because apparently "I was doing wiggle to quick" - but the other operator suggested when it start slow it down just wiggle your streamline up and down to speed up.
How can you enjoying view if the wind gusting on your face? And you worrying about other member family and my self stuck again and your body hanging in the middle of the line

We went on a Zipline tour in April 2023 and had a fantastic time. The guides were great and gave our two small children so much confidence that the youngest in the party (6 years old) insisted he go first. At the end our children wanted to do the whole tour again. We adults were a bit nervous about it but we also had a great time. Highly recommended as an activity.

We’ve zip lined in Costa Rica, Roatan, Paradise near Queenstown, Alaska, and a 4,000 foot zip line on Kauai. Next to the zip line on Kauai, this one tops them all.
The two guides emphasized safety procedures before starting and gearing up at the base office. Once geared up, we walked to the chair lift which would take four of us at a time to the top of the mountain where we walked down a trail to the first line. On the way up on the chair lift we saw zip liners riding far above us on the first of four lines. It was a little scary.
Once everyone reached the first launching platform, the guides reviewed safety procedures again and rigged the first two riders. Each person carries a trolly which will carry them on the zip lines. The first two lines are the shortest, but very high. Riding the first two lines prepares riders for the longer third line and the longest fourth line. What a blast. If you like zip lining, don’t miss this one.

I’ve been on many zip lines, but these were the best, not just because they were long – one was 1100 metres – but because of the terrain you zipped through, the huge ravines you crossed, and perhaps best of all, the cable car ride to the top which allowed for some monster drops.
A real winner, highly recommended.

I like to lay back.
It's a zip line, you can hold on if you choose, throw your arms out, go limp like a rag doll, the experience is up to you, on the last line you go from mountain to mountain so it is quite amazing. There was a storm when I went so it was like being hit by 20 billion tiny agonizing daggers ..... incredibly painful but exhilarating but that is part of the rush! Will I get hit by lightning or not!?

Sure does, the chair lift comes with the zip line price. You catch the chair lift to the top of the mountain and then zip line back down!
