We had so much fun making Fettucine and Tiramisu and learning Silvia's family recipe (Gnudi). Silvia's home is beautiful (and so is the town of Lucca, pure magic!) and she made the activity so fun for my wife and I and our 10 year old son. We highly recommend this experience if you are looking for a fun Italian cooking class with a kind and welcoming teacher like Silvia!

We spent a wonderful evening with Valentina and Valeria, getting to know them and being taught how to make traditional pasta and tiramisu! The meal turned out beautiful and delicious😋!! It was an extremely personal experience in Valeria’s home, which is so pretty and charming!! This was a highlight of our trip to Italy and if we ever go back again, we will definitely book another cooking class with them!! Thank you, ladies, for everything….it was an absolute pleasure!!

FRAUDULENT ADVERTISING! With Silvia, you won't make pasta, so Youtube it and save yourself about $200.
The ONLY reason I signed up for this class was because of the title, "Tiramisu and Pasta" class. My friend and I always wanted to learn how to make pasta so we splurged for this experience. If only it was entitled, "Italian cuisine" then we would have skipped it. We made "gnudi" (spinach balls WITHOUT pasta). which were good, but that's not what we signed up for.
All members of this English-speaking class expected to make pasta. At the end of the course, we were confused - wait a minute. We never made pasta! It was an enjoyable experience but it's like signing up for an Italian lesson and getting Spanish instead - nice, but not what was advertised.
I contacted the instructor who became belligerent after I gently tried to communicate perhaps she should change the title of the class since English-speakers excpet pasta, not spinach balls. She was rude, kept shouting over the phone at me, interrupting, insisting I speak italian only to cut me off with demanding she made pasta. In the end, I had to hang up. The company gave me 20% refund. I wanted one of the 2 tickets refunded (meet me in the middle) but they said since I stayed until the end, those were the terms. (Yeah, we stayed until the end cuz we were waiting to make pasta!).
P.S. As a vegetarian, while everyone was eating ham and foccacia, I was offered bread. That's just lazy! Offer cheese at least.
Anyway, if you want an Italian quisine course, this is enjoyable. But a pasta class it is not, and God forbid you provide any feedback to the instructor! Her demeanor inspired me to share what happened to hopefully help someone else have this type of experience while trying to enjoy vacation!

We had a great time making pasta and tiramisu with Pablo and Danielle. They warmly welcomed us into a private home within the Lucca walls. We got our hands sticky making everything from scratch while Danielle made two delicious sauces so that we could enjoy the pasta and dessert for lunch. Was a great experience for us and our 8 year old daughter. Highly recommend!

We had a terrible experience. First, the company switched the cooks on us three times. Then they moved the experience from within Lucca city walls to several miles outside of the city. When I called the chef, we discovered she spoke NO English. The company insisted that the home cook would help us, but she couldn’t.
So… we never had our much-anticipated cooking class.
I certainly expect we get a refund! This was so disappointing. In fact, it was the only negative experience we had during our entire Italy adventure.

Our cooking experience with Antonietta was a wonderful surprise! We booked the class not quite sure what to expect but we always enjoy new experiences. What an evening! Antonietta and her husband, Pierro, were quintessential Italian hosts. We knew we were in for a treat as soon as Pierro picked us up. He is very charming and fun to talk with. Upon arriving, Antonietta brought us some fresh bruschetta and we got to know each other through our very nice translator, Vittoria. We proceeded to a traditional Italian kitchen where Antonietta gave us a personal hands on experience making tiramisu and pasta. She was very instructive and taught us something that we hope to use in the future. Once we finished making our tiramisu and pasta, Antonietta cooked our pasta and we enjoyed an incredible classic Italian meal together with wine and great conversation. This was a fantastic experience and we would recommend it to anyone!

We had a lovely experience learning to make tiramisu, fresh pasta, and Silvia’s family recipe, “nudies” (spinach ricotta pasta lightly rolled in flower). We were lucky enough to be the only ones booked for this experience, so my wife and I enjoyed a very intimate personalized class and dinner with Silvia. Silvia’s home was beautiful and we really enjoyed cooling nd hanging out there. Highly recommend.

We had an absolutely amazing time cooking with Margherita!
We were staying in Lucca and it took 20/25 minutes by taxi to get there but it was well worth it.
The space was a combination of old world stone house with modern comforts. The view from up there was well worth the trip. We explored the area for a bit and started by picking the fresh herbs we would use in the cooking.
Tiramisu was first so it could rest and Margherita taught us her grandmother's recipie as well as a little about other variations.
Then we started the pasta and while it was resting we had appetizer of local products and plants they have there on their land as well as goat cheese from a nearby farm.
The we went in to start the sauce and roll out and cut the pasta. Pierre joined us and helped with the sauce.
Lunch was delicious and the company was great.
This experience was one we will never forget!
