GO THERE !!!
I spent my holiday at the Edenh this summer, for almost 3 weeks. It has been a fantastic holiday for us, hotel-wise, atmosphere-wise, people-wise. I have read some of the comments displayed here : although I think that people is very often too demanding and too much critic… and I do agree with some things that should be settled/updated in the hotel. But I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and clients.
All the positive things : Clean and well furnished rooms , nice beach and surroundings, very good quality of the food in all the restaurants and PEOPLE. The Staff of this hotel is amazing. It the place where I saw more people SMILING and ENJOING talking to you and taking care of you, starting from the reception, to the cleaning ladies, the mantainance guys, the waiters and of course the Entertainment team. It is true though that there should be more people in the restaurants, you feel there is a lack of people serving at the tables so the service is not super fast. Then they arrive smiling , with very good food, and you forget that you had to wait a little bit.. but for a 5 star hotel this is an issue to be solved.
Regarding the A-La Carte Restaurants the problem are the queues to be done to book the table. In 3 weeks we already saw some changes such as the possibility to book in advance the whole week ( and not to have to queue 2wice a week…) Especially for the gusts staying at the Paradise (the VIP’s) there should be a separate service for this. Regarding the F&B a special note for Mr Jose Maria the F&B manager who was always around (breakfast/lunch & dinner) to check and supervise .. other thanks to Leo (Oriental restaurant), Berlin (Italian restaurant) and Anthony ( Beach Bar) . A negative point is the thing of the Beach chairs, it is incredible, they are always taken..! the first week I woke up at 6 am ( ahi, the jetlag ..!!) and it looks people is not sleeping and is going at night to put the towels to reserve the chairs… are we sure people is not leaving the towels at night ? if yes these should be taken away. I know is matter and no idea how the management can solve it, but it is an important issue as everybody has the right to stay on the beach. Second and third week it was ok, but maybe there were simply less guests.
Another suggestion… more ashtrays around please..
Last but not least , An extremely positive note on the activities and on the Entertainment Team. The guys .. and girls of course are fantastic. Friendly and warm yet super professional, always smiling and involving people in the “right” way, not insisting and not annoying people who just want to relax and do nothing…so Geronimo, John, Akon, Jose, Eveling, Naomy, Dario, and Guillermo.THANKS you have been the added value of this holiday ! And if you need any help for the Dance Team, just give me a ring, I will come back with the first plane !
Anyway, as I said, being there for 3 weeks gave me the idea that there is still a lot of improvements going on, flowers planted, little changes in the tables of the breakfast at the Festival Restaurant (waiters serving juice & coffee and bakery baskets already displayed on the tables) and sure in this last month more things and upgrades happened. It is a place where it is worth to go… but as always.. for all this people always criticize.. do not expect to find the things you have at home, enjoy and be open to new visions, to new way of living, to new food, to new people.. wherever you go...!
